About Kartvelio
Privacy and cookies
You can use the whole guide without an account. Here is what we collect, and what we don’t.
Your data
Who is responsible. Smartera, the publisher of Kartvelio, whose details are in the legal notice.
When you read the guide. Like any website, the servers of our host process the technical data needed to deliver the pages and keep them secure: your IP address, your browser, the pages requested and the time. We don’t ask for your name or email to read the guide.
Measurement, only if you allow it. If you choose “Allow measurement”, two tools start, through Google Tag Manager, which loads them only after your choice. Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) counts visits so we can see which pages help travellers. The Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) measures the visits that come from our posts and ads on Facebook and Instagram, and helps us show Kartvelio to people likely to be interested. Both receive the pages you view, your browser, an approximate location deduced from your IP address and an identifier stored in a cookie. Google and Meta may process this data outside the European Union, under the safeguards described in their own privacy policies. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our account, at most 14 months. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. If you choose “Essential only”, none of these tools starts.
When you write to us. Through the contact form or by email, you give us your email address, your message and, if you wish, your name and the place concerned. We keep them in our support tool, hosted by Odoo, only to reply, and delete them three years after our last exchange. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
Who has access. Smartera; Odoo SA (Belgium), which hosts the site on our behalf; and, only if you allow measurement, Google and Meta as described above. Your data is never sold or rented.
Links to other services. Buttons such as “Open in Google Maps” take you to services that apply their own privacy rules.
Your rights. You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to its use, or to receive it in a readable format, by writing to the address in the legal notice. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Cookies
Necessary cookies. They keep the site working and secure, and remember your language and your cookie choice. They don’t need your consent.
Measurement cookies. Set only if you choose “Allow measurement”: Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, up to 2 years) and the Meta pixel (_fbp, up to 3 months).
What we don’t do. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t load any of these tools before you choose.
