დავით კლდიაშვილი
A bust of the Georgian writer David Kldiashvili stands near Petre Melikishvili Street in central Batumi.
The bust honours David Kldiashvili (1862–1931), a Georgian prose writer, novelist and playwright whose works include Solomon Morbeladze and Samanishvili's Step-Mother.
Kldiashvili served in the Russian army in Batumi, where he stayed close to the local intelligentsia and took part in cultural activities. He was forced out of the army as an unreliable officer during the 1905 revolution.
