A monument-bust of the Georgian screenwriter Suliko Jgenti stands on Batumi Boulevard.

The bust, by the sculptor Irakli Ochiauri with the architect Irakli Maskharashvili, stands on Batumi Boulevard. It commemorates Suliko Jgenti (1925–2000), a Georgian Soviet screenwriter who lived and worked in Batumi with his family after returning from the Second World War front. His screenplay for the 1964 film Father of a Soldier became popular across the Soviet Union, and streets in Tbilisi and Batumi were named after him in 2001–2002.
