Batumi Dancing Fountains

Batumi's dancing fountains combine water jets, coloured lights and music. GNTA calls them one of the largest dancing fountains in Europe. Shows run in three places: the Old Boulevard, Ardagani Lake and Europe Square. Jets spiral upwards or fall like rain to music that ranges from Georgian songs to Pavarotti and Sting.

At Ardagani Lake on the New Boulevard, French-made fountains also put on hologram shows, watched from a dedicated platform (Batumi Boulevard). The Central Dancing Fountains at the boulevard's main entrance date from 1977, were designed by Georgian architect Giorgi Erkomaishvili and got music after a 2007 renovation.

Good to know

  • Shows take place in the evening, so plan an after-dinner stroll along the boulevard.
  • At Ardagani Lake there is a dedicated viewing platform (Batumi Boulevard).
