Five-star mountain resort above Kvariati, 370 m up, with sea views, infinity pool and observatory.
Litz Resort is a five-star hotel perched above Kvariati village, south of Batumi near the Turkish border, at about 370 metres above sea level. Its 16-storey building has 101 rooms, and the hotel says guests can see the coast from Rize in Turkey to Batumi, and the Caucasus on clear days. The site sits on a seasonal bird migration route.
Facilities include a saltwater infinity pool, indoor and waterfall pools, a spa, a gym and several restaurants, among them the Georgian restaurant Marani. For entertainment there are bowling, billiards, a cinema, an arcade, a kids' room and an astronomical observatory.
Good to know
- The national tourism administration notes it is usually 7-8°C cooler than the coast in summer.
- Good base for birdwatching during the migration season.
